SUMMER COAST CRUISE
SATURDAY 8TH FEBRUARY SUNDAY 9TH FEBRUARY 2025
8:30am - Depart Cooma Car Club.
10:00am – Café Woodworks, Bungendore. Tables booked. We’ll have an hour here so a chance for a look around the gallery etc.
WOODWORK CAFÉ, Bungendore.
11:00am – Depart for Braidwood
11:30am – Visit Braidwood – comfort stop. Check out Model car shop, ‘the Chocolate Shop’ or stroll up town. Good toilets. 30 minutes here.
12:00 noon – Depart Braidwood for Batemans Bay.
When arriving in Batemans Bay – over the bridge, turn left onto Beach Road, through the roundabout, past the car dealerships and Soldiers Club and continue along the waterfront for about 1 km. Turn left at the roundabout at the sign marked ‘Marina’ into the car park, and through to JJ’s car park. If you miss this turn it’s quite a way before you can turn around to come back.
We will ask for the ‘bollards’ to be removed from the grass area in front of JJ’s so we can park/display our cars there. So, drive through the car park. Will confirm on the day. Also, have invited the Eurobodalla Club to join us for lunch. Some may take up the offer.
1:00pm – Lunch at JJ’s at the Marina, Batemans Bay.
2:30pm – Depart JJ’s for Tuross Heads.
Follow the coast road from Batemans Bay (Beach Road), continue on turning left onto George Bass Drive towards Malua Bay. Keep following George Bass Drive which at Mourya Airport turns into North Head Drive. Turn left onto Princes Highway and over the bridge through Mourya township. Continue on the Princes Highway to the Tuross Heads turnoff (about 52 kms).
3:30pm – Travel the 6 kms to the “Tuross Boatshed & Café” for ‘champagne & oysters’.
Maz and Phil will have the sparkling (complimentary) as BYOG is allowed – just buy oysters (or a doughnut if oysters are not to your liking). The café also offers beer, wine, tea & coffee, soft drinks, milkshakes, cakes, etc. Booking is in name of Cooma Car Club.
4:30pm – Depart Tuross Heads for Narooma.
5:00pm – Arrive at the Harrington Motel – host ‘Lina’. 153 Princes Hwy, Narooma. No need to book. THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR. On check-in you will only need to register and collect your room key.
5:40pm – Courtesy bus will start to transfer us to O’Brien’s Hotel for dinner. Return trips from 9:30pm.
6:00pm – Happy Hour and dinner at O’Brien’s Hotel, Narooma. A courtesy bus will collect us from the Harrington and take us back after dinner.
SUNDAY 9TH FEBRUARY 2025
8:45am – Depart the motel for SURFBEACH CAFÉ, Narooma for brekky.
9:00am – We are booked into Surf beach Café, 38 Ballingalla, Narooma for breakfast
10:30am – Depart Surfbeach Café for Tilba Dairy – 33 Bate Street Central Tilba. for Tathra for lunch.
11:00am – Arrive Tilba Dairy – explore Tilba Tilba
11:30am – Depart Tilba Tilba for Tathra. Go via Bermagui and Bunga. Take the coast road through Bermagui and Bunga to Tathra.
12:45pm – Lunch at the Humpback Brewery, Tathra Hotel on the headland. There’s a beer tasting board available and a great pub menu
2:15pm – Depart Tathra for Candelo through Frogs Hollow and Toothdale. Short stop and then on to Cooma.
4:30pm – Arrive Cooma Car Club.
